The House on Mango street is a body of painted rooms.  My mother was born in Egypt and became a political refugee as a child she spoke of woman that used crazy as a way to be free of their oppressive husbands . During lockdown in that strange house I created this body of work, From colored rooms to animals and primal cave drawings my studio room that belongs to those accused of being crazy like me and so many woman/artists. The last painting is of a room in Beeri, where I stayed when I exhibited there, how it bleeds because of what happened on the 7th of October.
